The festival, which is in its 60th year, opens on Friday November 6th, and RTÉ is proud to be the Principal Partner. Filmed on the slopes of Nephin Mountain near Lahardane Co. Mayo, ‘Our Farm’ is a fifteen-part series of six-minute episodes exploring daily life on the Doyle family farm as seen through the eyes of the Doyle children, Liam (10), Dearbhile (8), Ailbhe (5) and Féilim (3).

The participants will get an insight into how to approach the scene from script to rehearsal and going for a take. Splanc! is the Irish language arts documentary scheme that supports the creative exploration of the arts in Ireland. This season aims to fund short films of 3 – 5 minutes in duration on any art form which will form a collective response to 100 years of art in Ireland. The wild men of Irish comedy, the Hardy Bucks, are back this October Bank Holiday with a new series which was filmed and edited in Swinford, County Mayo. And this time the regular cast are joined by well known Irish actresses – Fair City’s Aoibheann McCaul and Susan Loughnane from Love/Hate.
