Dúiche - Mayo episode

This week on TG4 (6th & 8th Dec) Dúiche saw Síle Nic Chonaonaigh in Mayo in the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life. Dúiche is a weekly Lifestyle show presented by Síle and it is produced by Open Eye Television.   The programme featured Onsite which took place in the grounds of the Museum over the Summer. In partnership, Mayo County Council Arts Office, Mayo Artsquad, The National Museum of Ireland – Country Life and local artists worked on site-specific projects as part of Feile na Tuaithe.  The Dúiche programme is available to see on TG4 for the next month http://www.tg4.ie/ga/clair/duiche/

The theme for this year’s event was ‘Welcome to the Stranger:  Migrant people, places and spaces’.

Mayo Artsquad was established in 1997 with FÁS (now DSP) support and provides excellent training in community arts skills for fifteen participants. Artsquad work throughout the county with communities and festivals, providing workshops, training and street theatre.
