Pilgrimage Trailer

Last weekend Pilgrimage had its world premier at Tribecca Film Festival.  This star studded film was penned by screenwriter Jamie Hannighan and Directed by Brendan Muldowney.  The cast includes Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Richard Armitage (The Hobbit), Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Fury) and Stanley Weber (Outlander).  Its six week shoot was between the West of Ireland and Belgium.  Film Mayo are deligthed that Pilgrimage spent three weeks shooting in locations in Mayo.  You can check out the trailer for Pilgrimage below.

Epilepsy Ireland in partnership with Helium Arts will host a series of film workshops for young people

This spring, Epilepsy Ireland in partnership with Helium Arts will host a series of film workshops for young people age 16-21 living with epilepsy. The workshops will take place in Galway, Dublin and Cork and include a hands-on introduction to filmmaking and plot generating.

Mayo Commercial Director shortlisted as Young Irish Director in ICAD awards

Film and Commercial director, Lorcan Hynes from Mayo, has been shortlisted as Young Irish Director of the year 2017, in the commercial category for his work on the Connacht Film - We Believe. The awards are run by ICAD (The Institute of Creative Advertising and Design) and winners will be announced on Thursday 23rd of February .  Lorcan makes carefully crafted cinematic commercials, blending authentic performance with beautiful Images and brooding sound to create powerful emotive stories.

Inaugural Film Mayo Tyrone Guthrie Bursary Recipient Announced

Film Mayo is delighted to announce that scriptwriter Jennifer Davidson is the recipient of their inaugural Film Mayo Tyrone Guthrie bursary.  The bursary was open to filmmakers born or living in Mayo, to enable them to spend two weeks at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig, County Monaghan. Applicants for the bursary needed to show significant achievement in their field or demonstrate a high degree of promise. All submissions were assessed by an independent, expert panel.

The Switch film project seek fundraising

Writer/Director Peter John Sinclair and Actor/Producer Olivia LaCroix are currently fundraising to start shooting their film project, “The Switch”.

Director of Photography, Brian Durcan, and the crew aim to film a trailer in  Westport  in January of 2017. The trailer will then go on and be used to promote the making of a full length feature film.
