Mayo Ignite: Silent Moves tour

'Silent Moves', a film by Aideen Barry and the artists of Western Care’s Ridgepool Training Centre and Scannán Technologies, presented by Ballina Arts Centre will be on tour in October and November.  The two remaining dates are:

RTÉ’s Paschal Sheehy, Claire Byrne & Emma O’Driscoll get set for Cork Film Festival 2015

The festival, which is in its 60^th year, opens on Friday November 6^th, and RTÉ is proud to be the Principal Partner.  Each year the city transforms into a major hub for the international film industry, and RTÉ, Ireland’s national public service media organisation, will be at the heart of it all – as it is every day at its southern studio base on Fr Mathew’s Quay.

RTÉ will capture all the action on-air and online across radio, television, mobile and online. RTÉ is involved in various events, including;

Congratulations to GMarsh TV on their IFTA

GMarsh TV are delighted  that their children’s series ‘Our Farm’ has won an IFTA in the ‘Children’s and Young People’s’ category.

Filmed on the slopes of Nephin Mountain near Lahardane Co. Mayo, ‘Our Farm’ is a fifteen-part series of six-minute episodes exploring daily life on the Doyle family farm as seen through the eyes of the Doyle children, Liam (10), Dearbhile (8), Ailbhe (5) and Féilim (3).

The series was filmed and Directed by Ballina native, Paula Rouse over the course of a year. 

Shhneaky Look! First episode of Hardy Bucks Ride Again premieres on RTÉ Player

It’s only 4 days until the wild men of Irish comedy, the Hardy Bucks, return to RTÉ2 with the new series beginning on October Bank Holiday Monday at 10.25pm. But fans of the Castletown lads don't have to wait that long to see the show. The first episode of the six-part series will premiere exclusively on RTÉ Player from tomorrow evening. 

Workshop for Directors and Actors with Paul Mercier

Tutored by director, Paul Mercier, this 2 day practical workshop will guide directors and actors on how to work a scene together. The participants will get an insight into how to approach the scene from script to rehearsal and going for a take. The workshop will provide an understanding to directors and actors of the different challenges facing them when working on a scene. It will also give insights on how actors and directors can collaborate together to get the most out of their work.
