Mayo’s top club footballers to feature on Irish TV - Tuesday January 20th @ 7.30pm

Mayo’s top club footballers will get international TV exposure this week on Irish TV. A crew from the Westport based TV station attended the 10th annual Mayo News/O’Neill’s Club Star of the Year Awards in Knockranny House Hotel and the highlights will be shown Tuesday, January 20th at 7.30pm in the Mayo County Matters programme. The programme can be watched on Sky channel 191, eVision 191, Freesat 400, free to air boxes and online at irishtv.ie

This glitzy annual event honours the crème de la crème of Mayo football and hurling and Irish TV will feature interviews with the Footballer of the Year Alan Dillon, hurling representatives, local and international football pundits including Sky Sports commentator and special guest Rachel Wyse.

Also featuring in tonight’s show is a cross border conference organised by the Irish Association of Supported Employment and their Northern Ireland counterparts the NIUSE. The conference saw top level speakers from across the country and beyond addressing issues related to the development of supported employment for people with disabilities and other marginalised groups.

Irish TV also met up with Castlebar based author Kathleen Duffy for the launch of her new book ‘Awaken to the Wisdom of your Dreams’. We hear about the very interesting subject of exploring the psyche through dreams.

And the Mayo County Matters crew went along to Matt Molloy’s in Westport to chat with singer/songwriter Sinead Madden during her Acoustic Yard performance.

“Irish TV are looking forward to 2015 and launching our exciting spring schedule which includes some new series with veteran broadcasters, series two of our popular music and cookery shows and some insightful documentaries,” said Irish TV Content Editor Toni Bourke.

Tune in to Mayo County Matters on Irish TV, Sky channel 191, Freesat 400, eVision 191, free to air boxes and online at irishtv.ie tonight (Tuesday, January 20) at 7.30pm.
