Newport House

An Historic Georgian House in gardens and park adjoining the town and overlooking the Newport river and quay.  For two hundred years it was the home of the O’Donnells, once the Earls of Tir Connell.   The house provides its guests with a unique opportunity to experience the elegance and hospitality of an historic Irish Country House. The cuisine is based on fresh local produce and is complemented by an extensive cellar which includes many of the classical vintages.

Newport House also offers its guests -  preserved salmon and sea trout fishing on the Newport river (8 miles) and Lough Beltra.
